President
My name is Nhi Nguyen, I am a 3rd year Biology major, and an aspiring Physician Assistant. It is a pleasure to serve as your President for this upcoming 2021 brigade to Ghana! As President, I will do everything I can to make this brigade as incredible of an experience as it has been for me. The interaction and bond that we share within the communities is truly genuine and heartwarming. This will be my 3rd brigade with Global Medical Brigades and I am super excited to share this experience in Ghana with everyone!
Juan Rivera

Hello, my name is Juan Rivera and I am the Vice President for the 2021 brigade! I am a graduating senior majoring in Kinesiology with a concentration in Exercise Science. My professional goal is to become a Physical Therapist. This will be my third brigade and I am just as excited to attend this one as I was my first brigade. As the Vice President, I hope to do everything possible to make it a positive experience for everyone!

Hello! My name is Tatum Attlesey and I am one of the Fundraising Chairs for Global Medical/Dental Brigades at Sacramento State. I am currently a second-year Biology major with an emphasis in medicine. I am a Chem 1A PAL (Peer Assisted Learning) Facilitator and a proud member of Women in STEM here on campus. My first and only brigade was this past January (2020) and it was life-changing. My time with Global Medical Brigades was an unforgettable experience that I would recommend to anyone able to go. As fundraising chair, I hope to be able to raise as much as possible for this upcoming brigade so that all members have an equal opportunity to attend. Because I believe that healthcare is for all, regardless of your finances.

Hello! My name is Brittney Saverimuttu and I am one of the Fundraising Chairs for Global Medical/Dental Brigades at Sacramento State! I’m a third-year Kinesiology major with a concentration in Exercise Science and minoring in Biological Sciences. I became involved with GMB in 2019 as a volunteer for our past brigade to Honduras in January 2020. This was a life-changing and humbling experience, one that forced me outside of my comfort zone and allowed me to grow as an individual pursuing a career in the medical field. It’s truly the small acts of kindness that make all the difference! I am excited to be returning as a board member for the 2021 brigade! As one of the Fundraising Chairs, I plan to coordinate and organize fundraising events/activities to help raise funds for medical supplies and so that all members of GMB will have equal opportunities to take part in this amazing experience!

Hello, my name is Eduardo Amaya and I am the 2020/2021 Education Chair for Global Medical/Dental Brigades at Sacramento State. I am a Kinesiology major with a concentration in Exercise Science! I aspire to become a physical therapist and I feel that being able to experience Global Brigades has not only better prepared me for a career in health and wellness, but more importantly, given me an opportunity to grow as a person by giving me a new perspective. I am excited to serve as a part of the board and hope I can help Global Brigades make lasting impacts on many others!

Rocelyn De La Cruz
Hi, my name is Rocelyn. I currently attend Sierra College finishing up my pre-requisites for nursing school. I plan to transfer in the next year, get my BSN and become a licensed nurse. This will be my second year in GMB and I’m proud to be a part of the leadership team. Our last trip to Honduras served as a great reminder for why I’m pursuing a career in the medical field. I will never forget the people in Honduras and the impact they had on me. With that being said, I’m excited to welcome new brigadiers to the club. Ghana is going to present its own humbling experiences and unforgettable memories.

My name is Thien Nguyen. I am a founding board member and the 2019 Brigade Leader and GMB Club President. Global Medical Brigades has changed my life for the better. From planning the first brigade to leading one, I have learned so much about what it takes to be a leader and how to lead by example from a place of compassion, respect, and how to best foster one another. The family and memories I have made on my journeys with GMB will forever be in my heart and will always inspire me to become the greatest practitioner I can be.

Hello! My name is Jasmine and I am the Global Medical Brigades at Sacramento State President! I am currently a second-year student studying Biomedical Sciences with hopes of becoming a PA.Â
I began my journey with GMB in 2017 for its first brigade as a general volunteer as well as its second brigade and to now have the opportunity to be the President of this organization has me in awe. Honduras will always have a special place in my heart as well as the community members there. I hope to give our new members an unforgettable experience and knowledge that I have gained through our past leaders!
