About Us
Established since 2017
Global Medical Brigades is an international movement of students and medical professionals working alongside local communities and staff to implement sustainable health systems. We work in remote, rural, and under resourced communities in Honduras, Panama, Nicaragua and Ghana who would otherwise have limited to no access to health care.
What We Are About
At Global Medical Brigades at Sacramento State University, we help provide under-serviced communities with access to medical, dental, water and public health services. Alongside health professionals, we have accomplished making an impact in 5 different communities in Honduras. In future brigades, we hope to help provide these services to many more. Global Medical Brigades at Sacramento State University started its first brigade in 2018 where they traveled to Honduras. Where they have treated many patients and helped create a healthier environment for these communities. We are a student-based organization that will continue to create impacts around the world.
